It really all comes down to the details: the 2" galvanized pipe for the upper radiator hose, the water bottle for a puke tank, the open panels give you the "real" feeling of driving a roadster, the double roll bars (where's patrickt when you need him??), the arc "goober" welds construction was nice, and not to mention the Cobra mural on the nose. It really is a mess! But hey it's all in what some people see!

Ya think with all the publicity he might have sold it??

I thought it looked more like a big blob of silly putty, but my eyesight is bad.

I had to paste that ebay picture of the car in my gallery to preserve it, so folks would be able to see what the talk was all about.

Man, I hope no one thinks thats MY car!!!! The sacrafice's one must make for Club Cobra... :)

crASH 04-01-2011 03:32 PM

That would be so cool to have a cobra bodied lawnmower!

So, do you think that was the car that mechanic was posting about a while back that his boss would cut corners on everything? He would not even let him buy a decent water pump pully. He had to modify two to make one.

What happend to that guy? I think that he might have been a fairly good mechanic in time, but not with a boss like that. Gives that poor guy a bad reputation.

RodKnock 04-01-2011 03:52 PM

I'm sure that this car is another April Fool's joke.

SAAC is floating one too about Senator Chuck Schumer of NY floating a bill/law that would impose a 10% tax on all collector cars.

As bad as that car looked and with all the stuff wrong with the body and welds and roll bars --- Ya'll had to dig on the Chevy motor. That hurts.

Why not a Chevy?? You can get parts at Wall Mart and their lack of being able to build any serious horsepower make them reliable.

I wouldent even use that thing for yard art.........the neighbours would run me out of the neighborhood.....

IT'S BACK..... Just noticed this cobra is back on ebay for $3600. This could be a good project car for a young gentleman in the auto repair field.... Someone with much more time then money... He can disassemble, rebuild/fabricate properly, repair/rebuild the fiberglass body and set up for a sbf for little money and alot of time. He can then purchase parts as needed over time to complete using as many used parts as possible. He could possibly have up to $20,000 max once completed and have a cobra. Not the best cobra, but a cobra he might be proud of. This is not something I would want to do as it will take a major time commitment and alot of work, but it could be done. Just a thought and possibly a perverted thought at that. I also must say that I have nothing to do with this cobra and know nothing about it so don't think I'm pimping this car.

I don't know. I think this old serpent just needs to be "put down". The phrase "mercy killing" comes to mind. %/
