Looks like a old Pic..
This accident was the result of a full power-on shift into second gear. The owner was preparing for a photo shoot when he got a bit out of hand. Location: Pennsylvania http://www.wreckedexotics.com/griffi...060615_001.jpg |
KOOL, I took the pic of the wrecked green griffith. I have a bunch more. Before and after. Ser#200/5/054, I made copies for friends, I guess thats how it ended up on this site. I had Jack Griffith sign the back on my copy.

At the 2010 LCS / Mid Ohio vintage races there were 6 or 8 Griffiths parked on the grass together. I took pics of two of them.
Interesting cars This year the vintage races are the same week as the London Cobra Show. Maybe they will be there Dwight |
Thanks Dwight... Guess Ill do a road trip down there. If anyone else knows of any you can email me @ ttastage2@yahoo.com
Thanks again. Dan |
I've always seen these referred to as TVR Griffith. The way you're all referencing them is as though Griffith is seen as the manufacturer. Is the Manufacturer naming for these a bit similar to Cobras? Ie:
Built in UK = AC Built in US = Shelby Built in UK = TVR Griffith 200 Sold (built?) in US= Griffith 200? |

Some Vintage Photos of my Griffith
5 Attachment(s)
I was able to obtain some vintage photos of my 1965 Griffith 200 from a previous owner who had taken them the day he brought his newly acquired purchase home. The photos were taken in upstate New York in 1972.

A few more old photos of my Griffith 200
Three more old photos of my Griffith 200. It was garaged for 30+ years not too long after these photos were taken. When I purchased the car nearly three years ago, I found that the car was virtually identical to the conditions as found in the photos with the exception of a new window and gas cap installed in 1972.
