5.0 engine thoughts

New here.
Just wondering how others will see a new 5.0 as far as an power plant. Plan on driving the car a lot and want to be able to do that fuel and maintenance wise. Enjoy many of the posts here ...thanks

if you're talking the Coyote 5.0... I think it would be an awesome choice... great performance, great efficiency, smooth, reliable, looks good under the hood, & all the latest technology... same for the 4.6 32-valve engine... these are the engines I'd pick, were I to build one today- tho the extensive wiring & electronics might be a bit of a challenge. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Sorry, yes it is the 5.0 Coyote engine. I have a 4.6 in my 05 Mustang and have had a lot of fun getting that up to speed with just a few additions. Thanks Slick for clarifying that.

Dohc motors have no tq, i have one, unless you supercharge it. (best thing about the coyote is it will be in every junk yard in 5 years, just like the pushrod 5.0, for very cheap i might add)

I find Plug & Play can easily become Plug & "Pray" when it comes to electrics.
