Cheap Superformance??
|
My guess is because at first glance, it doesn't look like a Superformance. Cheap looking interior, incorrect dash/gauges, etc. It just doesn't look right to me.
In addition to that, it just has the regular "donor" engine and transmission. |
plus no pin drive wheels , no tonneau, no soft top- got to be more missing
|
Not a SPF, another clueless seller hoping for a clueless buyer.

Thats a prime example of someone lying about what they have....
it even has 4 lug wheels... |
'Cuz (as others have said) it's clearly NOT a Superformance.
Looks more like a Street Beast/CMC than anything else. Follow up on this ad ONLY if that's the kinda car you're looking for. |
And the "Statement of Origin" is bogus, fraud, fake, whatever word you want to use. The VIN is not a Superformance VIN and the wieght given is for a complete car, NOT a roller. SPF NEVER sold complete cars to dealers. And they never used four bolt hubs. While early SPFs DID have bolt on wheels, those aren't them!
Run, don't walk, it might be gaining on you! |
Im not interested in it just more of a question why it would be sooooo cheap. I feel sorry for the person that buys it!
|
Steer clear from this fake Superformance,,,,,,,,This is Junk with a Capital J
|
The car in the photos is a CMC/Street Beast kit, not a Superformance. I built a CMC car previously and I recognize a lot of the construction details. The Superformance MSO must be from a different car.
|
One word. Fraud!
|
So, have any of you in the know, contacted the seller or flagged the post on Craigslist?
|
I didn't know there was a 65 ford cobra? Nice ignition btw! lol.

Not to mention that the VIN decodes to a 1965 Ford Custom 500 sedan! A case of a junkyard VIN/title to avoid Cali taxes and smog issues. A HUGE red flag and onother reason to stay away.
And there is NO "1965 Ford Cobra"......there ARE 1965 SHELBY Cobras, but the first Ford model to carry the name was a 1969 Fairlane model and that ain't one of those! |

Exactly my point! |
