Long-term car storage , questions

My NAF cobra will be in storage , not driven for at least 2 years . Have read some of the posts here , and have done the following : jacks under the frame to lift all four wheels , full tank of gas with the correct fuel stab , battery removed , 2 coats of wax, and car cover , The only thing I did not do is back off the springs and rockers . Is it really necessary ? The engine is 428
Thanks for all the advice

Use an engine FOGGER. Best insurance against internals corrosion.

this and seal off the carb and pipes to keep moisture and rodents out of the motor. Some WD in the cap and rotor. I might take the tires off to keep the suspension from sagging. For 2 years I might back the springs off, an engine builder could say for sure.

Why not empty the gas tank? I thought some of my gasoline evaporated over the winter. You might come back and have no gas left.

Been storing my muscle cars for a lot of years as well as motorcycles and all sorts of other toys.Never back valves off, always support vehicles under suspension next to wheels.Personally drain the all fuel, battery always on a Tender, make sure coolant PH is correct or close especially with aluminum heads or engines. We have Car Bags using air dryer tech, one car in bag 10 yrs no change, rust or any other storage damage.

I would loosen the rockers to take any pressure off the valve springs, engine fogger first and maybe a good spray of WD-40 or engine oil in each cylinder, then put the spark plugs back in.....
