I am thinking about putting Racedeck down on my garage floor. Any Racedeck adherent's out there?

It looks like I can do my garage floor for about $1500. ClubCobra.com members get a discount, too.

Lovehamr: Times have changed. The current "really gay car" is the PT Cruiser. It can't get much more gay than that...

Heh, the only 'decoration' I have is my tally of beers drank while building the car. As you can see that's a dry fit of the gel coat. Everything's at the body shop now getting sanded and ready for paint. Last I counted I believe the beer count was 250+.

Only one (semi) 'finished' wall in my garage, but it has some nice art up there. I won't show the other walls, just parts, tools & stuff. Got a painted floor though.

I put Racedeck in my garage and I'm very pleased with it.

Some people complain about the noise as you walk on it. Does not bother me at all, and I like it in the winter in that I can lay on it and not freeze my furry butt off.

The Race Deck is non-skid right? I have a gloss epoxy coated floor in mine but the installer didn't put enough grit/sand in the mix so my floor is a deathtrap when wet. Cleans up real easy, but it'll exercise the ABS brakes in my daily driver if I pull in too fast when wet.

Garage art

Here's a shot of the "Cobra Wall" in my garage:

Wish I had more wall space, as I have plenty of posters, but tool boxes, cabinets, and storage shelves are more critical in a working garage.

The lift was one of the most useful tools I've bought. What used to take me a couple weeks to detail the underside of the car for a big car show
(car on jackstands, me crawling around under it), now takes just a few hours. It also allows me to cram four cars into a three-car garage.

More photos in my "Garage" album.

Sweet. Have you all seen the garage journal board forum? I stumbled upon it from a link in CC yesterday. Nice garages!

Got to agree with you Jeff the lift has been one of the best additions to the shop. makes changing oil and lubing a snap + it's great to not have to crawl under or bend over under the car any more. Not sure that it qualifies as "art" but as they say "art is in the eye of the beerholder".

This is probably the only other feature that has been more convenient. :p

lavaluv & cobrajeff: Nice! I was thinking about a 4-post lift, too.

Silverback: Nice design on the Racedeck. Is that "Diamond" or "Tuffshield"?

lamaluv & cobrajeff: What brand 4-post lift do you have?

Lift

My lift was made by Autolifters of Wichita, KS. Unfortunately, they went out of business back in 2005. I thought some of the employees reorganized the brand for a while, but can't find any current info on them.

I preferred their design to many of the competitive brands due to the closed four-sided column construction. It appears to me to be a more robust design than many of the others that feature an open column design. Backyard Buddy is the only other manufacturer I know of with the closed column design - I would recommend you give them a call.

regards,

Jeff

Mine is a 9,000 lbs. Revolution lift and I have had it for 3 years. No problems with it so far and I have 12' ceilings in my shop.

The bare concrete was slicker.
