Silver paints for my cobra?
I could use some help finding the right silver. I 'm about a month away or so before I'm ready.
I'm leaning towards Titanium silver, Orian silver from House of Color has been recomended but I've not seen it on a car. I 'm looking for the silver that changes to a more dark metalic when light or shadows hit the cobras curves. Does that make sense? A car I saw years ago that I lliked was 1975 porsche silver.but the paint shop doesnt have a code. Any suggestions? Any pictures? Thanks Daniel |
I spent too many hours finding the right silver. Started with Mercedes, and ended with Mercedes. The newer silver is Iridium silver. It has a lot of pearl in it and does color change. It is a very nice silver and looks great on a cobra. I'm biased of coursebut I get a lot of comments on how good this particular color looks.
I used the Spies Hecker brand which is what Mercedes uses. Had some samples from dupont and they looked different. Not sure why. |
