We just had our german cobra meeting, taking place in Langenargen, a nice old town at the shores of the Bodensee at the foot of the alps, on the border to Austria and Switzerland.

I am impressed. And some fine looking cars they are too! I would love to cruise in your town in my Cobra.

I spent time in that area about when the first Cobra was being screwed together by Shelby. I was a liaison officer working with the French Air Force (actually, their air defense missile arm) up around Ebingen, or Albstadt as it is now called. About once a month, I'd hop a ride on an Alouette chopper down to Friedrichshafen for a meeting. Riding with those French helo jocks was even more exciting than a good, hard run in a Cobra.

Hi Skippy, you don't have to wait till next year. This was the biggest meeting which takes place every 2 years on the Bodensee, but we have several smaller meetings throughout the summer.
The next one takes place from July 15 to 17 in Arnheim, Netherlands, which is pretty close to Luxemburg. People gather on Friday in the Postillion Hotel in Arnheim, on Saturday there is a trip to the Ijsselmeer and on Sunday they organized a visit to the de hoge veluwe national park. If you wanna know more, just tell me. |

Hi peter, Langenargen is every 2 years. Next years events are not scheduled yet.
