Man Cave
2 Attachment(s)
I haven’t posted much (feeling guilty without a Cobra), although I spend a lot of time on the site lurking and drooling over the fine examples pictured. I’ve managed to build the “Man Cave” (see attached images) with the intent of filling it with replica. Being in construction, I just haven’t been able to come up with the discretionary funds to do it. So, I’m thinking about selling and relocating to put me in a better position to acquire a Cobra replica. Location is Boulder Creek, CA on an acre of land with a large 2 bedroom 3 bath house complete with a “Granny” unit. Available about October – November 2011. I hope it’s OK to post this here. If not, I won’t be offended if it’s removed.

This is one of the retirement options my wife and I are exploring.
Looking at buying 5+ acres and putting a 40 x 70 or so pole building on it. Would be able to drive a motorcoach straight through it, and have living quarters built along one side. When I retire, neither of us wants a home, yard, and all the issues that go with those things. We want to travel and enjoy life. I see so many retired people spending so much time and money maintaining their home and yards. Just not for me. If we go with the pole building, it will be able to be closed up at a moments notice and not require any maintance until we return, be it 1 week or 6 months. |
John,
A motorhome sounds good in theory, but in my experience you get all the maintenance requirements of a home and car in one package. You do get rid of the yard maintenance, but maintaining a motorhome can be just as challenging as maintaining a home, especially if you travel where the temperature falls below freezing. ... Good luck with the retirement plans. |
Silverback, I would love to do what your plan is, retire with a prevost bus drive it all over while your cobra follows right behind, what a life
