The original car you posted on the e-bay listing looked like a Contemporary to me looking at the tubular door and hood hinges. The CCX number also points to that. The suspension and frames really tell the origin of these things pretty well and a lot of the manufacturers have a numbering series that helps determine the brand.

Did you see the door striker? Still think it is a Contemporary :LOL:

I resemble that statement. :D - which is why the Republicans want to split the state up. But we should remain on topic here. :D

Sorry, I agree it is off topic. So back to topic;

So was there a consensus on what the actual kit is for this eBay cobra? What would most here pay for this car given it's current condition, my desire to convert the auto to a manual, swap out the small block for a FE (I already have the engine/trans) and the realization that after all work was complete, it would still retain a salvage title ??

Lastly, would anyone have a good source (other than eBay and Craigslist) for hunting down a project CSX4000-6000 series car?? Preferably without motor/trans and an aluminum body. The rougher the better for me as I enjoy the challenge.

Thanks again to all that have participated in this question series, I am greatly appreciative of the sharing of knowledge.

hanks,

Jim

Jim,
I know of a "Shelby" "kit" that is for sale if you're up for the challenge. It consists of the Shelby 4000 chassis and fiberglass body, most of the aluminum panels, and a few other miscellaneous parts. You would have to source and supply the other parts to complete the build.
PM me if you're interested and I'll give you the seller's information.

Bob
