The stock Coyote actually makes more torque.. 390 ft/lbs fpr stock vs. 380 ft/lbs for the Boss.

Boss engine redlines at 7500 RPM and has hardened parts for durability.

I'm starting to think that all "unique engine" threads should begin by stating why the engine is unique (e.g., rarity, HP/pound, HP/$, eye candy, etc.) That way we can avoid all these arguments over whether it is cool or not.

Don't ever admit to owning a 385 series powered Cobra or a kit from CMC,you will do just fine.Just enjoy the experience with a car built to your specs no matter what powers it or who's name is on the ID tag.Most of us know better so continue to enjoy this forum for what it was meant to do.Bring all us like minded enthusiasts together.

Oh come on, we have to argue about carb vs. EFI, auto vs. manual, SPF vs. ERA vs. FFR vs. Shelby vs. Unique vs. Contemporary vs. Shell Valley vs. mine's better than yours, etc. This blue vs. that blue, big block vs. small block, Ford vs. Chevy, stripe vs. no stripe, full roll bar vs. one roll bar vs. two roll bars vs. no roll bar, etc., etc, etc. If I missed your favorite, argue with me about it!

I didn't mean to start any type of argument here and really didn't see it heading in that direction. I'm actually looking toward a Coyote 5.0 in my next build and would like to know more of whats below the surface in each.... just sayin. :rolleyes:

Personally I think its way cool and would be great for anyone who's going to put a lot of miles on the car, wants the reliability and still has a hankering for big power. Not to mention almost unheard of MPG for a big power Cobra. Think about that puppy in a Brock Coupe with a supercharger. Uh Huh, that's right, Big Bend here I come!:LOL:
