Goodyear C-2
Has anybody run the Goodyear hand cut C-2's on the street?
Comments on results? Not running at the track, but want nice looking Goodyear rubber for my Cobra. With all the billboard (B) Goodyears I have seen, the quality of the logo/lettering is lacking on the sidewalls. It looks like the hand cut C-2's have much better looking lettering. Comments? thanks, |
Ran DOT slicks for a while on our car,it always bothered me when picking up sand and knowing what was happening to the finish behind those stickies. They sure were great for getting the car launched.

The lettering can easily be fixed with paint and a couple of hours of one-on-one time with your goodyears. I've done it, and so have others. I would not choose the type of goodyears based upon the stencil quality.

Goodyear C-2's
I guess I should have stated more clearly the main reason why I posted the question on the hand cut C-2's. The yellow letters were what first attracted me to the tire, but driveability and handling on the street is more my concern with these.
So again I ask, has anybody run these hand cut Goodyear C-2's on the street?? :3DSMILE: thanks, |
Thats what I use, Roger Kraus actually told me its a much better tire than the billboards because of a better sidewall, he also said they are good to up to like 180 mph which is flying fast, they are also cheaper than the billboard and you can choose your own tread pattern, good luck. (they still hunt like a billboard though, real bad)

Yes I run these tires on the street, I dont rmember the exact price but i believe they are right around $200 a piece, maybe a little cheaper, I have driven on them to and from Phoenix to Vegas a number of times, and I drive my car all over the city streets almost daily, plus they look cool I think.

If you go with them, be sure to post up on how you like them. I'm thinking about a set myself.

I will certainly post results if I decide to run the C-2's on my ERA. BTW, I like the clip of the Cobra suckin' up a Viper in its snout :D and I REALLY like the peaking p__sy clip. **) |
So I guess my original post wasnt clear to all those out there trying to sell me there cars, and as one person already put, My Wife and I want to Build it, from scratch, how we want, period. I appreciate the arguments about light and dark side, quality etc, but what I am more interested in is what you did or didnt like about your build, and your model. Of course if your a non height challenged person, I would like your input as well.
