Ford C6 trans vacuum modulator line
Question for you all: Does the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the vacuum modulator on a Ford C6 trans have to be a hard line, or would something like a ss braided/teflon lined AN3 brake line work?

Nothing special....a good rubber line will work.

Greg,
What Brent said. Just make sure the line is rated for vacuum and won't collapse. I use steel tubing along the length of the transmission then vacuum hose, maybe 8" or so at each end. There are relatively few bends in most of the steel tube that make it pretty easy to shape and install, and there are a couple of stock clips that hold it in place. Makes a fairly neat installation. If you're a "show" person, polished SS tubing works fine too LOL Tom |
Thanks guys. I have some ss braided/teflon lined brake line laying around so I think I'll use that. Although I also have some ss hard line laying around so the polished ss hard line sounds good as well.
We'll see. Greg |
