Hydraulic clutch question
I have a hydraulic clutch with an external slave push cylinder. It is mounted on a bracket attached to the Quicktime bellhousing using an FE style fork (pivots on the driver side), TKO600, 351w based engine.
Do I need a return spring to pull the fork back? |
You shouldn't need a return spring if all is working fine.... but, having said that, a spring can't hurt.
Are you having a problem, e.g, clutch not fully engaging? Mark |
No, you do not. The clutch pressure plate will force the fork back to it's original position.
That said, make sure the slave pushes the fork in a straight line. Not at an angle. Otherwise you will invite throwout bearing failure. |
