Video: Ford executive hot laps Laguna Seca in 289 USRRC Cobra

Road & Track has just posted a video of Jim Farley, current Group Vice President of Global Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford Motor Company, doing hot laps of the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca at the wheel of a 289 USRRC Cobra roadster.

Sorry, no mention of which CSX number it is... (UPDATE: It's CSX2513. Thanks guys.)

Enjoy the ride!

He drives better than his cousin Chris did in "Tommy Boy"!

And yes, they really were first cousins.

1.3 lateral Gs at what I think is turn 6

Thems not be street tires..? **)**)**)

WardL 09-07-2011 09:59 PM

Nice shifting. You think that was a standard shifter? I must just have really slow twitch muscles!

PDUB 09-08-2011 01:14 AM

Peculiar scale on that speedo overlay...

But a fun trip 'round:D!

Sweet video (yes I know - old thread resurrection - but a good video never gets boring..)!

He sold the 289 Cobra and bought Archer's 427 Cobra. After this video he had the car totally redone and made it Blue now.

Jim couldn't race any cars this cool at Toyota
I know the guy who replaced Jim whet he went to Ford, and he doesn't have that kind of dough. And Jim is definitely a Farley ;) Great guy doing a bang up job.
