Bernica Leukemia Fundraiser
All,
I was not sure how or where to post this, and I certainly apologize for the intrusion, but I am on a mission..... I have not shared here the fact that I have a brother Scott, 50 yrs of age,who is in a serious battle with Leukemia. He was diagnosed two years ago with Acute Myelomic Leukemia (AML), and has gone through some very tough times. This disease and all of the other blood cancers are terrible and we need to find a cure. As someone that has spent the last two years witnessing first hand, I am convinced that there has to be a way. To that end, I have joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's fundraising campaign and started a Bernica Family fundraising website in honor of my brother Scott. I am attaching a letter that explains Scott's challenges and how we can all help the cause. Please read the letter and follow the link at the bottom to our website. All donations are tax deductible. Also, please feel free to forward the letter far and wide and to anyone and everyone, as I want this to go viral. As I said, I am on a mission. Many of us here enjoy a wonderful life and it is something that should never be taken for granted.
