Cutting Edge still in business ?

I tried the phone number on website, it says it's been disconnected and the email address does not work. Are they still in business ? (not buying at this time)

I've stated this before, that this cobra is fascinating to me, especially the chassis as it's a work of art, kind of like the Kirkham. Not that it's just like theirs, just meaning the wonderful cnc machining of the chassis.

Kevin,

I can drop by if you want. They are less than 5 miles from my house.

I hope they aren't out of business....didn't really like their body, but I agree with you, FF2, their chassis was a dream-design!

Hey, Kev, what happened to your Shelby FE? I see the new Genesis, can't imagine why you would have deep-sixed the Shelby if it was still going strong! (my apology for the thread drift  )

Cheers, Dugly

Terry- that would ge great and would help us that like their cobra.

Douggie Douglass--(good to hear from you. I sold the 428 as I've wanted a side oiler, so I'm building a Genesis side oiler, punched to 527 cu. , solid mechanical cam, alum. heads etc.....should be a monster) !

Kevin,

Cutting Edge is no longer in business. But, if anyone needs parts I have a line to the machine shop that has all of the prints for making them. Actually, Doug, one of the guys from cutting Edge owns the machine shop.

FUNFER2 09-27-2011 07:44 PM

Wow, too bad. I'm glad he still has the machine shop.

Yeah, Kev....I got to thinking (I know, that's dangerous  )...since the guy with the machine shop still has all the prints, maybe it's your chance to buy a chassis and mount your current LS body on it. Could be the best of both worlds, eh :D ?

Cheers, Dugly

Sad to hear, Terry! I suppose that in this hard economy, they sorta priced themselves out of the market, maybe?

The engineering was first class all the way, the machining world class! What a shame to see that product go by the wayside!!

Here's hoping your friend and the remaining prints can resurect the brand someday, or at least fill some special orders.

Cheers, Dugly

Doug, I agree. I have a large shop to build in, but the start up cost would be too much. I even have friends with CAD programing and machine tools. If the economy wasn't so low, I would give it some serious though.
