car is missing and bucking a little
Hi guys.
Ok, question. I had a new Dizzy installed and now the car, though runs decent, begins to show the following symptoms. 1. at any constant speed, say 2500 rpms....it sort of lightly bucks. Just not smooth as before. 2. at temp.....when I hit the pedal quickly, it pauses briefly and sometimes pops! We adjusted the advance/retard position we also adjusted the fuel pressure. Does anyone have another idea? I have Mass Flo and it has been superb for the last 4.5 years!!!! thank you for any help fred z |
What's the total timing set at and when is it all in?

Not 100% sure about this system but
Fred Z Fred was the distributor phazed correctly back into the motor. If the distributor has weights and spring in it where they changed over to the new one? Maybe the system has to go through a relearn time again to correct these issues. Call the mass flo guys for help? 1 note do 1 adjustment at a time and recheck. Reset back to orginal point if no change happens to car. Rick L.

Good points Rick....I read too fast and didn't see the Mass Flo.
Doesn't the Mass Flo use a TFI style distributor? |
You have injection with a mechanical advance distributor?
Can you explain the system? Why aren't you running a locked distributor and let the ecu handle the ignition curve? |
