One thing is for certain, call it Old School, nothing will ever replace the clean lines of a 427 Cobra........

That's for sure, and that's why I hate so called, cobra replica company's, don't get it to close to the originals. I like the muscle bulges like the rear quarters but some make the to rounded, like half of a perfect circle. Would you change the looks of a Camero Z28, Cuda etc,.... I hope not !

So,.....don't do it to a cobra.

There's absolutely no car on the planet like the cobra, when you see one, you know what it is.

I would get" yes we are aware of that and have corrected that"Ihave had the kit for two months and after a few calls I was told to f.... off!!! Montti Gotti who was the real guy behind the construction was nice and he talked to me a lot even after his health started going south,Peter Bayer who seems to be the face of Contemporary is a JACK OFF. Contemporary is one of the best cobra kits ever, and I am sure that all the manufactures have a story of someone who slipped between the cracks, for contemporary that was me.

Maybe it was because you were putting a Chevy in it:LOL: Just kidding! I built a very early Contemporary and had some minor fitment issues but nothing that I would complain about. My only problems were with their NJ dealers got ripped off for $2k deposit on a body, guy skipped town with my money.

I don't know about the GT40(5), but their Cobra replica is first rate. You'll find many more good comments about B&B than bad.

After seeing the Goben, and almost going blind, that is the poster child for kit cars getting a bad rap.

Has anyone ever seen one of these Monster Miata 427s in person? Basically it's a Cobra-esque rebody kit for an NA-generation Miata (MY 1990-1997).

It's also possible to swap the stock Miata engine for a 5.0-litre Ford, or for an LS1-LS2-LS3 Chevy, so I suppose you could actually get some performance out of the thing if you really wanted to.

I imagine the all-in cost would be similar (or more) than just buying a nice Cobra replica, but something like this would be pretty "different."

We have had 2 come in that we could not identify in the last year. one of them, we turned down the guy accepting the car to work on, - it was so unsafe and so hacked that we there was no way we could work on it effectively.

-- I am thankful we have good manufacturers like Superformance and Kirkham.
