Replica Production Figures 289 VS. 427?

Just curious as to how many of each body style has been made. I was thinking of this earlier and it would be interesting to say the least. Does anybody know the production facts of these models from all the manufactures? Example: ERA FIA: 145 / ERA 427: 900?? Thanks, Matt

What also would be interesting is the breakdown of FIA to 427 in say the last 12 months...
Cheers,
Glen

I would guess it's about 1.5-2:1, 427:FIA, plus the new Slabside. I would have to go through a bunch of workorders to get the actual figure for ERA. For delivered cars/kits, it's complicated because of so many different patterns of kits/painted kits/turnkeys. Time frames overlap a bunch.

Watching the pictures of Cobra gatherings my estimate is 100:1 (427:289)

It has to be a much larger percentage. Does any one know how many ERA, Shelby, Superperformance, Factory Five, Unique, Backdraft, Mid States, Hurricane, Contemporary, B&B, and Kirkhams have been made? I agree it's tough given the different stages of the cars but I guess it all comes down to chassis numbers. Thanks, Matt

Well, Superformance is now in the 3000 chassis numbers on their MkIII (427) replicas, and only recently started producing their MkII (289) replicas. Just guessing, but I imagine that puts their ratio to something like 300:1.

2:1, 100:1, 300:1

Don't know about you Matt, but I'm feeling more special as this thread grows. :3DSMILE:

Kidding aside, great question!

In London this summer I counted 3 FIA and one Slabside out of a sea of Cobras.

Wonder if a poll can be correctly set up here to gather the data.

Inimitability is definitely there with the FIA/USRRC... one of the reasons why I chose to go that way. The poll is an interesting idea...

Almost every replica company started with the 427 looking cobra. SPF now at 3,000 cobras, BDR just recently built there 1,000 car, FFR has over 7,000 units sold. There is say about 25,000-30,000 replicas out there, with 30 different manufacturing now, & with another 30 defunct manufactures from around the world.
