Csx4188

Is anyone familiar with CSX4188 that has been on eBay? It for sale with a dealer in St. Louis. It looks like a nice car on the exterior and interior. The chassis looks a bit dirty, but not damaged. A google search shows it was owned by Mr. Santiago in OK a few years ago.

Here's the most recent eBay link.

Thanks.

Send a PM to CC user PaulProe here, Paul Proefrock. He lives about 5 miles from there and may be familiar with the car, or be willing to go look at it for you.

The auction has been ended, looks nice though.

I'm flying up there on the 12th to look at it.

What is up? Have not heard from you in awhile......

Still have parts?

I haven't posted much lately, but I'm still visiting regularly. Not many parts, just a few cars. :)

Thank you for the information, guys, it was very helpful.

From the bible, "ally body, completed 12/1/00 dealer Akamo Sports Cars (San Antonio TX) painted blue, Trigos, chromed roll bar"
I like the looks and color, looks nicely put together.
Just a quick spin through the pics I noted it has cast uprights, SS Shelby spinners, Smiths, stainless expansion tank, clamp band interchangeable pipes, trunk mounted battery, 24 gallon fuel cell, Holleys plumbed through a shut off valve?, trimmed Lakewood, looks like a Baer/Shelby decent brake set up. The braided oil cooler lines in the nose look sloppily routed to me and then there's a whole list of little details I'd do different on mine but I think it looks good. Let us know how you make out with it or if we can answer any questions.

Thank you for the great information. I certainly agree with your comments, especially the routing of the oil cooler lines. I will have some cleaning to do on the chassis if it arrives. The car is held pending my looking at it, I don't feel that there is anything real bad I'll find on it.
I used to visit Alamo Sports Cars when I was in San Antonio around that time. Chances are good I saw that car under construction.

CSX4188 is coming to Austin, it should arrive today. The car will need some cleaning and minor paint work, especially on the front under the oil cooler where the aluminum was poorly repaired at one time. It will also need a new driver’s side carpet, floor mats and 427S/C emblem. It could also use a good alignment to get the wheel to 12:00 when driving.

All in all, it’s a cool car that just needs some elbow grease and someone to care for it. I think I'll enjoy it.

I know this is an old thread but does anyone have the color information for CSX4188?
