1966 AC Cobra for Sale - Gateway Classic Cars

1966 AC Cobra replica for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our Louisville showroom - YouTube

I wish people would have the minimum honesty to not describe a replica (and that car is pushing even that description) as an AC, Shelby, or even Cobra. It's no wonder that Shelby gets exercised.

xb-60 12-18-2011 07:43 PM

For a car to be called a replica even, it needs to at least passably like the original....
Did it get dropped, or what?

Ralphy 12-18-2011 07:45 PM

Trying to figure out where his head was on the rear. Going for the badazz street racer?

No offense but, is the rear view mirror functional?

cdnus 12-18-2011 08:11 PM

"Perky Butt" Definitely suites this car.
Beyond ugly. There is no accounting for some people's taste.

Silverback51 12-19-2011 03:58 AM

It's interesting.

Obviously someone put a lot of time and work into this thing. Which then begs the question, what were they trying to do?

Sawdust 12-19-2011 04:05 AM

Somebody went through a heap of work putting that together. Not my cup of tea......... butt ugly!

Stu.

D-CEL 12-19-2011 07:43 AM

FE's just plain suck..... lol

SunDude 12-19-2011 11:07 AM

Hmmm, I had never thought about putting neon lights underneath my Cobra before...

Hilarious car!

Luce 12-19-2011 11:53 AM

He did some cool stuff to the car, but it looks like it's offering anal sex.

Sort of missed the point of a Cobra.

D&M2 12-19-2011 12:11 PM

If it lifts one of its rear tires, I would have a good guess at what it would be doing.

G-Pete 12-19-2011 12:30 PM

DANG!

$40K?
...for that - come on....

Bill Bess 12-20-2011 05:57 AM

"GOOD GRIEF, WHAT WAS HE THINKING?" Very nice job, a lot of expense and hard work....but it looks really stupid...Sorry!

snakeunderock 12-20-2011 06:39 AM

Mounting from the rear should be easy!not even a replica..just sayn

Ralphy 12-20-2011 06:58 AM

I noticed in the vid that the roll bar is not attached to the frame. It goes up with the body when it's raised.

He could double the value I think. Provided the wheel base was right, he could buy a Superformance or Mongoose body.

Not trying to be a smartypants. All GM would sell better and those Grand Sports are $$$$.
