Best Pen for Autographing a Glove Box Door?

Hey folks,

Been a long time but I may be back in the Cobra game in the next year or so. First step. I bought a Superformance Glove Box door and am sending it to Shelby to have signed. May seem like a silly question, but given the donation amount, I want to make sure I get this right. Will any silver permanent marker do? Or is there a specific one that works best. Any other suggestions for this process?

Thanks!
JB

no, you are indeed confused.

"they"...the CS Foundation people who coordinate the sigs.

They (the Foundation) have it covered. On black leather-like material Carroll will use a a silver paint pen.

And it is not autopen. Carroll still signs everything (I was there one day when he was). You can see now that the signatures are not as "strong" as they were 4 or 5 years ago.

He has his own Stamp:LOL:

He actually works really hard goes into sign stuff almost daily, and all that goes to the Heart Foundation.

Thanks folks. Saves me time and energy finding the right pen. Gonna try to get it out today. We'll see what happens.

how much does an autograph cost and where would i send the door to get this done?

Bannon 12-29-2011 08:21 PM

Here's the link to Carrol Shelby's Heart Fund and the form for the donation for the Autograph. Its $265. ($250 for autographing a car part +$15 for shipping and handling) The door was ~$215 so I am about 0.35% toward getting another Superformance.

Not to start something but I'm getting a little tired of hearing about these gloveboxes. If you're really interested in giving to a charity just send them your f'n money. Send your money to a good charity. CS's or any charity. It's a good time of the year to pull on people's heartstrings. So if my little post helps, so be it.

Happy New Year to all my fellow Cobra enthusiasts and bests wishes for a Healthy and Prosperous 2012!!

Well not sure what that was all about...

Glad to see the interesting personalities still exist on this forum...
