Brent: That is the best Christmas/New Years present I can imagine. I trust you will be a fine father. Just be patient and provide plenty of time for your son and wife as this is the most important job a man can ever be given. Enjoy this time as it will be a lasting memory and remember to always take pictures because you will one day be looking at them with tears of joy. They grow up so quickly and you won't realize how the time flew by so fast and that they are now grown ups. God Bless and take care. Bob

Bob's advice is good. BUT, he didn't mention that the job is easy at first, and gets progressively harder. AND, IMO girls are harder to raise than boys. AND, you take the most pics of your first kid, and then each subsequent kid gets less pics taken of them. After a while, you don't take any at all.

It's never too early to start; each night, gently pat the baby bump and whisper, "FE's and ONE roll hoop ..."

Congratulations, Brent!!

I tell all my friends the same thing when they are at the particular fork in life's road where you stand--you are about to embark on the most rewarding adventure life has to offer. My youngest is 27, my oldest 39. Each is rewarding and challenging in their own unique way, but all comprise the most valuable facet of my life.

Take the time to enjoy the ride! It seems like only last month that I was putting my youngest to sleep on my shoulder...the time goes TOO quickly!

Cheers!!

Dugly

The first lesson he will learn is that little boys always have one good squirt left in them when the cool air hits during a diaper change. That one good squirt always hits you in the eye, too.
