I have done the Skip Barber advanced driving and 3-day open-wheel courses at Lime Rock in CT and can recommend them. Also, various clubs hold "drive your own" events at most tracks; I did one with Sports Car Driving Association at Loudon in NH which mixes classroom and running on the road course. While not in New England, I also really like Racing Adventures, which puts you in a FFR Cobra for a couple days. Whatever you choose, it is time and money well spent to learn the kinetics of driving these cars at speed. Good luck.

+2 (me and buddy) for Barber 3 day. Lime Rock is great fun.

Not in New England, but a the price would make it worth the drive: The Mid-Ohio School - Courses - Cobra Club Event. $295 for a two day school with other Cobras. Free bonus - Bob Bondurant and Allen Grant will there too. :MECOOL:

Pretty sure COM has a school at New Hampshire.

COM Sports Car Club

COM runs performance driving schools where Skip Barber is a professional race driving school. Both good but two different levels.

The White Mountain Chapter of the BMW club puts on an excellent school with Skid Pad at New Hampshire. The don't care what you bring (I've run my Contemporary FIA). Great fun and great instructors.
