Best TKO Deal?

Hi
Who has the best deal out there for a TKO 600 .82 OD at this time?
All so looking for a Quicktime Bell housing for an FE.
Would all so be interested in a good used set up.
Thanks for any Help.

blykins 01-26-2012 06:23 AM

Tremec doesn't allow anyone to sell under their minimum advertised pricing. With that being said, some still do, which I don't really think is fair.....

Prices just went up a few weeks ago. TKO 600's are $2295.

I also have the Quicktime bellhousings and would be able to work with you better on that item since I have some wiggle room.

If you would like a price quote on everything you need, I'd be happy to provide you one. I have provided lots and lots of Cobra owners with complete drivetrain setups....plus I'm always here on the forum to answer any questions that anyone has.

jwd 01-26-2012 06:46 AM

Summit has them for $2195. I'm sure you can beat that price if you do some searching.

blykins 01-26-2012 06:52 AM

I will say this....Tremec doesn't take care of the small guys. And the big guys basically have no rules.

I still beat Summit's prices on almost anything else though....

Cashburn 01-26-2012 06:55 AM

Brent, price increase on Feb 1st right?

blykins 01-26-2012 06:57 AM

Yep, I got my notice a few weeks ago.

vector1 01-26-2012 07:08 AM

some of the tremec dealers use free shipping as an incentive rather than a price cut.;)

blykins 01-26-2012 07:09 AM

Yes, or you can give a "package discount"....

Ralphy 01-26-2012 11:56 AM

Seems the best used price deal is always the one I missed. On anything! LOL!

IndyCobra 01-27-2012 05:43 AM

I can highly recommend Brent. He will give you the best price he can, his support is excellent, and I like to support those who support our hobby. His advice on drivetrain/clutch issues is invaluable when you have a question.

BTW, I don't get anything for writing this. I bought my tranny/clutch/bell housing from him and everything was as promised.

Forte's parts connection

I would suggest forte'spartsconnection.com :cool:Mike Forte has been supplying AC replicar builder's for 30 years with custom mfg. parts, engine builds, and TKO Trans. With turn key packages available; engine, trans, & eng/trans combo's. His shop is in Framingham Ma.
He is also very fairly priced!

Silversmith 01-27-2012 07:07 AM

Instead of a TKO!

removed until roadster compatialibty cleared

GT350Mike 01-27-2012 08:35 AM

Nothing against Summit but they don't sponsor this site nor do they chime in to provide guidance on questions posted by members. Regardless of who you buy your parts from, support the guys who support this site. Don't ho yourself out just for a few bucks!

Silversmith-

What I think is that your use of emoticons gives me the impression that you're actually a thirteen year old girl.

JMHO.

Phil,

You know what they say "Everybody's Got One"!! **)

Personally, if it were me, I would buy from one of the supporting vendors on this or one of the other cobra forums no matter what the price differential.

Why?
Because they support this site and I will support them. I have purchased wheels from Vintage, sidepipes from (crap, it was so long ago I forgot his name, but his shop is in Reno), mufflers from Stainless Specialties, ball joints, shocks and springs and sway bars from Cobra Valley, and a Proform carb. I could have shopped around for cheaper, but these guys provide us with a buttload of assistance and advice for free. So give back when you can.
