I have a Jag 4speed with a Laycock overdrive , with electronic control via a switch on top of the original Jag gearknob. I have had my issues with the unit over the years but generally it works great. I have had it wired so that it worked on all forward gears and like the factory only on 4th which makes it like 5th gear. The last way is the best and at 80mph I am doing just 2000rpm ( 2.88 rear). I did have Phospher/Bronze facings made for the cone clutch, which has been great. It does make the gearbox longer and the driveshaft shorter.

Just show them my pic. Tunnel won't sit down, X-member is right under the trans mount. Driveshaft is about a foot long. They'll want you to eliminate the shaft -and it's safety hoop- and connect to the Jag yoke. Like a Cheetah-no driveshaft.
None of this is worth the effort and expense-the GV is about $1800 last I looked-more if you've got to pay to butcher your car. That's a few years worth of gas...
