Anal question #798 -door weatherstripping.
Hi all. Here's another anal question: Does anyone know what the original door weatherstriping/seal was on the Street 427 Cobras? I've researched old threads and eveyone talks about modern/current equivalents being a D profile adhesive backed foam strip.
But what did AC/Shelby use back then? As was the usual case, there were many parts common to many other British cars. Was the weaterstripping common to oher Healeys, MGs, Jags etc that I might find sourced at Moss Motors or other? Look forward to the history lesson. Cheers Greg |

Thanks computerworks. So in your opinion, what is the closest equivalent (part # and source if available)?

I have McMaster-Carr. part number is 8512K83 in my file, but you should double-check that.
It's 1/2x1/4 thick cell foam, with a top skin. It comes in a 50ft roll. |
