amazing motor
Has anyone seen this?

Wish I had those skills!!!!!

Yes, have seen it before, a very skilful gentleman indeed.
One has got to wonder why he drives the cams at crankshaft speed. But I guess it would be difficult to grind 12 lobes and 7 bearing journals on a shaft 3 inches in length. |
Did I miss something? Where was the ignition????
. |
compressed air?
|
Over the years have know people like this incredible to talk with most are very humble. These people opitimize patience and perserverance.Met an older gentleman a few years back that built a miniature make and break engine.
|
Last August I was at the GoodGuys show in Pleasanton , Ca., there was an entire building dedicated to this miniture engine hobbie. There are many of these handcrafted engines that actually run on fuel and sound bad ass. These builders are mainly machinists that enjoy building these things. They even had castings and molds for sale to create the blocks and heads. This is really a very cool and interesting hobby.

I assumed it was running on a gas like propane or butane. Is if firing off of heat of compression?
If it is driven by compressed air, that would explain the 1:1 on the cam gearing (2 stroke). It would also explain the lack of a spark ignition. Anyone know the answers? |
Now this, . . . is an amazing motor!

In the small engine world this is a large plug . It has 1/4 20 threads . Plugs with 4-40 threads are out there. Some builders may even go smaller.
