...nice article, great trip down memory lane. At the ripe old age of 19, I took delivery of my 66 K code Mustang at Robert Loud Ford in PAsadena, CA. At the same time, sitting in the show room was a brand new blue and white Cobra. 427, dual quads. Only $10k. ( I understand that at the end of the production run, one could get a new one for only $5k.)
Been over 40 years to finally get there, but was finally able to knock this one off my bucket list.... |
To me it would have been interesting if GM had agreed to sell CS engines.
Imagine if the 427 car had ended up with a Chevy all aluminum 427 ZL-1. |
