Hm side oiler
Hi guys, im new to the forum and would like to say hi and that i have a short block i would like to get some info on and probably put up for sale.It is a 1965 427so.It has c5ae-g on it and a w on one side.It also has 5HM AND 4 NUMBERS AFTER THAT ON IT.It has new pistons,rings,bearings.Block,crank and pistons.I will get any info on it that is asked for.I can take pics but not sure how to load on the site.Thanks

First and foremeost, Welcome to the best Cobra site there is!!
I hope you had it sonic tested prior to the build. The 427s have notoriously thin cylinder walls and many an inexperienced builder has assembled these with too thin cylinder walls. Core shift was also a problem.
I would not touch a bored 427 block without a sonic test accomplished prior to my purchase.

I was told it was and it has 3 sleeves.What is this motor worth

I agree with undy. I don't have a sonic tester so I sent last side oiler block to engines by REX in sacramento with understanding with seller it would be c.o.d. if would pass sonic check.

Assuming the block's OK and so is the rotating assembly (very big assumption at this point) it should be about $2500 to $3000. Pictures, documentation and a sonic test would be a prerequisit before I'd buy.
