Hi , Just replaced all bushes and rod ends etc on my car, curious as to what castor and camber settings you guys use.Thanks

Caster will effect bump steer. Each kit brand is (hopefully) designed with a specific value to keep bump steer to a minimum. Without knowing which kit you have, we're flying blind.

STREET RIDE HEIGHT
Front ride height is measured from bottom of tube frame as far forward as possible to ground. Spec is 5 ¾”

Rear ride height is measured from rear cross bar of frame to ground. Spec is 6 1/4”

TRACK RIDE HEIGHT
Front ride height is measured from bottom of tube frame as far forward as possible to ground. Spec is 5”

Rear ride height is measured from rear cross bar of frame to ground. Spec is 5 1/2”








These specs should be regarded as baseline measurements. The Cobra has an
independent suspension and all measurements were taken from the chassis centerline.
The string method is not a recommended form of alignment.

Thanks for replies,I understood that the angle of the steering arms had more to do with bump steer,the more level they were the better.Mine are flat,parallel with the bottom arm and I don't have a bump steer problem.I like the race camber look - 1.5 but would like to run more castor than 2.5 to give better straight line return.I had a roadster that had toe out and have never driven a more dangerous feeling car,switch to toe in and a different car all together.Thanks

I suspect that some of those "Shelby" numbers were mistaken. The only cars that might run a very small amount of (street) toe-out are FWD.

If you need more straight-line stability, increase the toe-in to as much as 1/8", and later increase your caster. If you change your caster more than a couple of degrees, check the bump steer.

When doing our car talked to a lot of people back in the early 90's ended up going near 4 degrees caster,1/8 to 1/4" toe in,seem to remember went with a little positive camber.No bump steer issues and car is a pleasure to drive in any circumstance.

Thanks for replies.I have gone with 4* Castor - 1.5 camber and .6 mm toe in aside.Felt really good on way home although it was wet and did'nt really throw it at corners.

If you have coilovers all around you also want to get the suspension scaled.
