In Time - Decent Car Movie and great quote..
Watched 'In Time" tonight. Decent movie. Did not expect it to have cool cars & cool car chase scenes. And it had a great quote that sums up my feeling about having a Cobra replica. (The quote will make more sense if you watch the movie.)
At the dealership buying an restomod Jag XKE... The price is 59 years... I'll take it. The price includes delivery…. Delivery??? Yes, to wherever you are going to display it… Display it?? Hell, I’m going to drive it! |

Try again. I just found it in Netflix by searching for In Time. It was the first hit that came up. Regards, Kevin |
To be clear, since I live "in the country" and have a slow internet connection, I still use Netflix the old fashioned way. I.e. I select a movie and they mail it to me. It may not be available for streaming. The movie stars Justin Timberlake who for years, on the surface I would have wanted to hate. Started in a boy band, lots of money, dated Cameron Diaz, etc. But after giving him a chance, I just can't fault him. He is quite talented, is very willing to make fun of himself, is a good actor and funny. So despite my best efforts, I find his movies entertaining. This one had somewhat of an interesting story and had some good car scenes. Don't get me wrong. It is no Shawshank Redemption and no Vanishing Point but I don't want the 2 hours of my life back after watching it. Hope anyone who rents it on a my recommendation feels the same...

I can't be 100% certain of this because it's been a long time since I saw In Time in the theater. Didn't they mention that the classic Jag was converted to electric? So, if it was they had "V8 engine sounds" during the chase scenes. I remember thinking it was silly at the time.
On an off topic about the movie. I remember going into it that I was really excited to see how they came up with the science of how they got the time bar thingy on the arm but they just skimmed over it. Big disappointment for me. Other than those 2 things, I really liked the movie. |
