charging help
No charging at alternator , tested alternator 70 amps,regulator 14.5 amps, and we are getting no charge. All wires from regulator go to the right locations.
Car starts and shows no charging at volt gauge (shows 12 volt) and at alternator. Turn lights or fans on gauge drops to 10 volts. Alternator is Proform 66446 from Sumitt Racing. Any ideas ?????????? Thanks, Rich |
I had this exact same issue and it turned out my pulley ratios were too small at the crank and too large at the alternator.

just for craps and giggles, take the volt gauge out of the circuit and see if it charges.
it sounds like the alt. went.... i went through two one wire Alt's til i just sent it to a local rebuilder and had them put good quality guts inside |
