A historic GT40/Cobra brake question.

I know that this is not necessarily the correct forum for a GT40 related question… But there is a vast knowledge bank here… I just finished reading the book “Go Like Hell” by A.J. Baime. In the book there was a reference made to the following fact:
During the 1966 LeMans race, Shelby and company came up with a quick change design for the brake disk rotors on the GT40’s and used it to his advantage in the race. GT40's were very tough on brakes due to their weight and the high speeds they achieved.
Exactly what was different in the brake disk rotor mounting that made it a quick change design? Was this design ever used on the Cobra ?
Perhaps someone has some photos ?
BTW: Great book - highly recommended - shop around you can get it cheap.
Thanks.

I don't know about quick-change rotors, but there was a quick-change brake pad retainer that was used on some 427 Comp cars that allowed a fast change for pads.

It was like a sliding door bolt that held the retaining clip down, so you could release and remove the pads in one motion.
