Webcast and “Rev Your Shelby” Salute To Reach Shelby Admirers Worldwide

Shelby American, Inc., a division of Carroll Shelby International, and the Carroll Shelby Foundation, have announced that the Carroll Shelby Tribute Celebration, being held at 6 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, May 30th at the Petersen Automotive Museum, will be broadcast live worldwide via a free webcast. In addition to viewing this ceremony via webcast, enthusiasts are encouraged to join Shelby owners around the world in a “Rev Your Engine” salute to the life of an American icon, and friend, Carroll Shelby.

“We’re so excited to share this farewell tribute of an American Legend with all of the Shelby and automotive fans around the world,” said Jenni Shreeves, director of the Carroll Shelby Foundation. “Carroll genuinely valued the people who admired and owned his cars. Giving them a chance to be a part of this tribute is truly what he wanted”.

The live webcast will begin at 6 PM, Pacific Daylight Time on Wednesday, May 30. Pre-ceremony video coverage will begin at 6 p.m. PDT and the memorial will start at approximately 7 p.m. Webcast links will be available on The Carroll Shelby Foundation, Shelby Nation, TEAM SHELBY - SHELBY AUTOMOBILES and Shelby American Inc..

“We rallied Shelby enthusiasts from Team Shelby, Shelby American Automobile Club, Shelby Dodge Automobile Club and Mustang Club of America regions globally to gather in honor of our hero and friend, Carroll Shelby,” added John Luft, president of Shelby American. “The ‘Rev your Engine’ salute will be heard around the world and include a ceremonial waving of the checkered flag in honor of Carroll’s astonishing career”.

This was amazing to watch. What a tribute to Carroll and his life. Hopefully this will show up on YouTube or TV for those of you that didn't see it. Dan Gurney and Bill Neale were amazing along with Jay Leno as the host and many others...Gods Speed heading West Mr. Shelby.......

“People say when they made Carroll Shelby they broke the mold,” Gurney said. “And if they ever tried to make the mold again, he'd sue them.”
