Help - Need more Camber
I just spent the afternoon over at Roger Kraus Racing getting my new old cobra dialed in. They did an excellent job getting the corner weights adjusted and getting the alignment dialed in. If feels a lot better but they weren't able to get me all the specs I was hoping for. My cobra is an older NAF chassis with a mustang II front suspension with tubular control arms. I'm maxed out on my adjustments and we can only get camber to .2 and caster to 1.6. I would really like to get more camber and caster out of this suspension, but I understand the mustang II is rather limited in design. Any ideas or suggestions?
I'm considering just cutting the front off and starting over, but does anyone make adjustable control arms for this setup that will give us more adjustability? Thoughts? Thanks, -Greg |
Start with Speedway
sg7025 Greg Start with speedway and go there. They sell adjustable upper control arms for for dirt track cars that will bolt on your cobra. Have you had the frame sent to a body shop and lazer lined?? Sounds like something could be bent or not welded right on assembly. Start here first and if you have a picture on the front end arms could you add to thread to look at? Rick L. Ps may have some other ideas if the arms are on a slotted frame.
