Theme suggestions wanted or what do I do now
My lawsuit with Russo and Steele is almost over and my "hobbie" money will be coming back to me. I have't had my own cobra since 2006 and I think it's time to build my 21st. I want to do somehting special and unusual. I have been talking to two of my favorite manufacturers and have discussed the basis car.
I have this beautiful monster motor (482 all aluminum piece of art that I got from Doug) and I also have a great set of Webers for a small block. A 289 FIA car is a bit small for me so if I go small block it will have to be in a 427 body car (I have no bb/sb qualms and have had both) I like csx 3050 but don't llike black astroturf and would have to buy a new intake and carb set up for the bb to make it look right. do you see what I am getting at? Give me some ideas that I may be missing or haven't used before. I really don't like red cars so that may help. Thanks a lot for your input. Jay |
Jay, have I got a 289FIA for you :D
|
hey Bill
That car is beautiful but I will be building this.
Good to hear from you. Jay |
If you have your heart set on a 427 Body car, keep the carbs, sell the manifold, buy a big block Weber manifold and Whala......
|
Hands down build the SuperSnake CSX 3015.
|
thanks
Rick that remains a possibility and will talk to some guys about that.
Mark! Are you just nuts!!!!! Great idea but way outta my league as a wrench turner and a banker:LOL: Keep em coming Jay |
Jay,
Why not a nice street car, no hood scoop, wide hip, under car exhaust, with that beautiful monster motor underneath the hood. Bill S. |
webbers will fit on this one
|
I'll throw in my dos centavos. Since we are limited to the 427 body and you want something unique I would say CSX 3198. The 427 Dragon Snake. It is only sort of red. My other choice would be CSX 3243 and CSX 3255. The gumball rally car(s). You must capture the filth on the car to make it work. Sure would save time on cleaning. :)

All. Good
Bill I love street cars but like the side pipe stereo system.
Mr. Bruce, the problem is not the size of the Webers, it is my size of 6'5" and 275 lbs that does not work. David all good ideas just not quite me (really??? Me in a magenta colored car?????) Keep em going please Jay |
Not the Magenta/purple 289 dragon snake. The off red/maroon 427 at the Sam Pack museum.
1966 Shelby Cobra 427 DRAGONSNAKE CSX3198 |
I too was thinking about the DragonSanke, but had a hard time imagining Jay getting in and out of the car with that top on.
That's why I thought SuperSnake was best. It just screams over-the-top. An engine as big as Texas, with an auto trans to make cruising at 160mph as smooth as a single malt. Jay - 3015 is your car.:D http://forums.themustangsource.com/g...nt_3_4_web.jpg |
