Need help with Jag IRS parking brake caliper
I own a Unique that I did not build. One of the calipers does nothing before the arm hits the frame. The problem is unrelated to the cables. Since the parking caliper assembly is on top of IRS assembly with nearly no access, I am hoping someone can help me with some sort of mechanical drawing or parts breakdown. This is the last problem to solve so that my son and I can get this project off the jackstands, tagged, filled with gas and enjoy it! :MECOOL:

I can get you pictures as I have the whole set-up pulled out of my car. I think they had a few different styles, so it may not be the one you need.
I'll send them to you later. |

Ya'll are a great help and resource. My son and I thank you. More knowledge equals less frustration.

If you need a little more detail the body is off my Unique and I can send some pic.'s.

Can they be removed with the body on, sllib?? Some clear pics would be great. The B/W ones from ERA site are a bit fuzzy.

I have considered cutting a service panel into the bulkhead behind the seats to service the brakes. I don't know if I could get to them with the body on. I just got my power back on a few minutes ago after the storm, so as soon as I get organized I'll shoot you a few pic.'s.

I know that it sounds like a lot of work, but, it is much easier to drop the whole rear end and then do the calipers. Sorry.......

Info I received from you all was appreciated. It showed me how to adjust the calipers with the screw with the cotter pin thru it. Did that. One cable end was missing parts and made those then adjusted the cables properly. All is well. The fella that built this car was not as attentive to detail as myself.
