newbie presenting myself

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I'm a V8 enthousiast from France, who finally decided to go a huge step forward by owning the ultimate machine, namely a Cobra. Even though I do have some nice Detroit Iron in my garage, the Cobra has also to be there someday.

Here are my two racecars:
Olympia Charger
Plymouth HEMI Cuda de course

One will have to go to fund my Cobra project. Right now I'm looking at Daytona Coupe kits. All advice is most welcome.

Regards,

CS (same initials as the late great Mr are coincidental!)

A couple of nice MOPARS you got there. Too bad one has to go. Are you planning on building your own or getting a used one? Where are you looking at buying it, here in the US? Olthoff Racing would certainly be a place to check out for information on Superformance Coupes olthoffracing.com

Welcome to the Forum. Ditto on the nice Mopars. The packages to attend the race are intriguing....was not aware that these existed. Might have to cross the pond one of these years to attend...would be a lot of fun.

Be sure to post results. Good Luck !!!!

thank you for the kind welcome words :-)

My goal is to get the Daytona Coupe through FIA homologation for vintage racing, so it needs to be 100% like the original. Which kit ould you recommend?

Kirkham has an aluminum one on the way...within the year. Also, check
Cobra country.com. There is an aluminum roller there supposedly authorized by Shelby. Only a few have been built. Good luck

Welcome to Club Cobra!

Guessing that a Kirkham Coupe or a Shelby Continuation Coupe is going to be the only path to FIA homologation for vintage racing. Superformance no longer makes a coupe.

Best of luck on your search and build.

The Daytona I was talking about is CSX 7063, built by Lee Bensen, a Shelby dealer who says this is the third of ten Shelby authorized Daytonas that have been built. It is being sold on a Shelby MSO.

It is presented as authentic to the original...check it out on cobracountry.com
