Shelby Snake Pit, Eyes on Design 2012
I came across some pics of the Shelby Snake Pit at this year's Eyes on Design Car Show (Jun 17, 2012), and thought I'd share them.
All photos copyright Richard Spiegelman ### 1963 Shelby 260 Cobra (CSX2045), Erin Lindsay (Manchester MI) http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8011/7...9ca33e27_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8159/7...51504247_b.jpg 1964 Shelby 289 Cobra (CSX2159), Ron Riffel (Indianapolis IN) http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7250/7...06576ef8_b.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8028/7...da244be8_b.jpg Shelby 427 Cobra continuation series (CSX6062), William Deary (Michigan) According to the windshield lettering, this car was "driven by Carroll Shelby in his 2010 IMAX documentary film." Apparently this film about Shelby's life as a racer and auto manufacturer is being produced by a company called 21st Century 3D, but needs funding to be completed and released. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8157/7...2c3e7b7b_b.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7269/7...c782c8b2_b.jpg Superformance Brock Coupe (SPC0136), Jeff Grice (Harrison Twp. Sun Dude,
FYI, CSX6062 is owned by William Deary. |

Guys, just keep in mind Richard has over 59,000 photos on the site Flickr: carphoto If you are a car buff - it's well worth to spent that time there. |
SunDude,
FYI, Mr and Mrs Riffel are in the second CSX2159 photo above. Also, have you seen any of the Awards Ceremony in front of the Estate House when it was raining? I've never seen rain drops that big !!! |
dreaming
Lovely pictures Sun Dude. I am having a difficult time waiting for warmer weather. But I guess that's about normal for the Northerners like us. Roasted rare in summer. Contending with dashes of mulled wine, and no traction in winter!
