Monterey activity tickets

Do I need to buy tickets now for the races on Saturday, or can I buy them at the track. Also, besides for the car show at Pebble Beach, do I need to buy tickets for other events now or can I buy them up there%/

Steve,

You can definitely buy your tickets for Saturday at the track. There's going to be a huge crowd this year, but I've never heard of the races selling out.

I'm going to pass on the Concours at Pebble, but the tickets are $200 in advance and $250 on the day of the show. Some events like The Quail sell out in advance.

You're way better of buying in advance and there's no reason not to unless you're not sure you will be going. There's usually a big delay on Saturday am and the parking gets marginal by the late morning. If you buy in advance, you pick up the tickets at the Day's Inn in Seaside, NOT AT THE TRACK!!

Good point. I just took a look at the Laguna Seca website and they mention that Will Call will be at the Embassy Suites in Seaside.

Get Tickets - Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca

Tickets need to be ordered before August 3rd at 4:00 pm to have them mailed.

On a somewhat related note:

Has anyone used a bus or shuttle to get to the track from the Monterey area? The family is splitting up for the day of the races and I want to avoid the parking headache (unless taking an alternative mode is going to be worse!). Don't even suggest that I ride a bicycle, either!

Hi Steve,

I am glad to see you are out and about. Did you get your car squared away?

I might see you there if our health holds up
Maurice

Ya beat me to it. Will Call has always been at the E Suites since it was opened. Day's Inn? Oh...New York.:p

Pardon me -- after awhile, all these cheap hotels look the same. Particularly those in nondescript California ag towns where dinner at Applebee's qualifies as a big night out.

Oh really...hopefully y'all will not honor us with your presence then.

...and Seaside is most certainly not an Ag town. Pretty much grew as a family community for our fine American soldiers stationed at Ford Ord. Since you seem to be looking down on the choices made by our fine American soldiers and their families, you are obviously anti-American. :p

Maybe y'all will get lost and end up in Jersey...hopefully you won't be giving directions to anyone else coming from the East Coast.

Bronxville...suburb of the Bronx or sumthin? Cute little place...we have lettuce fields bigger than that. You know...that green stuff. Or maybe you use alfalfa sprouts.

;)

Sorry. That can't compare to the Reuben you get at Liebman's Deli on West 235th Street. ;)

As it happens, I won't be there this year, which is too bad. Then again, the last time I wound up having to listen to a couple of loudmouth know-it-alls in red hats sitting behind me, which diminished the experience somewhat.

Enjoy the show

It's on West 235th between Johnson and Oxford, next to the fish market.;) Surely you grabbed a sandwich there from time to time....

Tickets

Steve,

The Quail tickets are sold out, its a really funky computer lottery system that allows non billionaires like us to attend, i really liked the way it was handled.

The Concours has the two options, GA $200.00 or the $650.00 all you can eat area, you do get a free magazine :3DSMILE:

Cool...planning to. Since you're not coming out to Monterey, stay off the thread and keep your misinformation to yourself. Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.

...and by the way, we don't like us either.
