Manufacturer Of this Daytona?

Wanted to see if anyone knew what kit the below daytona coupe was.

Crazy that the seller posts a bunch of pictures but provides no details about the car. He doesn't deserve to sell it if people have to ask for basic information about the car.

Looks like a Factory Five to me.

xlr8or 08-07-2012 08:05 PM

Definitely not an FFR. Looks like North American Fiberglass to me.

Shell Valley? Jim

StreetSnake 08-07-2012 08:55 PM

I contacTed the seller but he has no info on the car. He must have picked it up at auction or a trade?? It looks like a nice build but I am have a much better understanding on cobras versus daytonas.

Me thinks it's a shell valley. I looked on cobra country at various kits. Question is what do u guys think it's worth? 40-45k?

That car is literally 5 minutes from my house. I have never seen it before.

About 3-4 years ago, there was a company in that city building Cobras. I do not recall which kit they were using as the platform. They built maybe 10 cars, then like most without some type of business plan, closed their doors. I think they were building the frames, but buying the bodies. Maybe this is why they have no information? Just a guess.

They both have a front end heavy look to them that is uncharacteristic of the coupe. Probably the same builder.

StreetSnake 08-08-2012 02:20 PM

Thanks Mr. Bruce. I couldn't make out what was on the valve cover without a clue. Now I got it.
