Team Stripes Width?

Just wondering if anyone knew the correct width of team stripes? I was looking on Cobra Valley's Team Stripes
bu they seemed a bit wide. I know it's personal preference but just wondering.

Seriously...you experts out there know this answer. Throw a pup a bone. Lol!

Streetsnake is interested in team stripes, the ERA document shows the dimensions for racing stripes - totally different thing.

I just did a search on team stripes and found this thread. According to post #9, the color and exact dimensions aren't important and varied from car to car or even race to race:

You may want to search 'team stripes' and look for additional threads that confirm this before you start masking and painting :) .

How wide is duct tape? I'm thinking that at the track in 1965 they used whatever was quick and easy......:)

(I did mine 1 7/8" wide)

Thanks guys...I was trying to search the forum but couldn't find the correct dimensions. I wish I had kept the width's I used on my last cobra. I think I shoot for 1 7/8" - 2". Thanks again

Better get them exact. Because if they are even 1/16" off, people will think you have a replica.

I applied masking tape at different widths until a certain width appealed to me. I then went to a graphics shop and placed an order for the real stuff.

StreetSnake,

Don’t let sarcastic comments discourage you. Many of us share the same desire to finish our “replica” as close to period correct (60’s CSX) as possible.

I’m researching the original FIA team paint schemes for my replica as well. Whether its decals or paint, you want it ‘just right’ ;)

The best of luck!

I imagine it's all in good fun. I just want to get what will look the best rather than drop penny after penny trying to get it the way I want. :)
