Yes, I know, hard to believe. My threshold of noise is not the best either. I don't like noise pollution! This sound might be more tolerable to me as I love the sound of the motor, pipes and to me its MY music in the car!
Lippy...I had the original FF pipes sent by the company. Most owners will tell you they wear out in time and either you dig it or you don't. I liked the strong rumble and deep base of the SPF pipes, their normal pipes. Once I 'modded' the flange (my mechanic) it was a no brainer. Amazing they have NOT changed much at all. I think they are better quality for some reason and Lance was cool to get them to me reasonably. Hope it helps.

perhaps it's just me, but mine are quite loud around town. I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the pipes are at the same level as the curbs- which reflect a lot of the exhaust sound back toward me. On the highway, I notice it much less... no curbs and more wind noise... much more tolerable.

I gave my original SPF side pipes to WardL on this site. Last I heard he had not used them, so its possible that he may still have them and wants to part with them.
If anyone is interested they could contact him to see what happened to them.
