RACE CAR DESIGNER PETER BROCK MAKES SPECIAL APPEARANCE AT SUPER RUN
Automotive architect created original Shelby Daytona Cobra & Corvette Stingray

(Henderson, NV) – Legendaryrace car designer Peter Brock, known for creating the iconic style of the World Championship-winning Shelby Daytona Cobra Coupe, Corvette Stingray and Shelby GT350 Mustang, is scheduled to attend Henderson’s Super Run Classic Car Show, meeting with fans, Friday, September 21 – Sunday, September 23, at the Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water Street, in the Water Street District.

Many recognize Brock for his innovative automotive designs, spanning a number of decades. He has worked with several of the most celebrated carmakers, including the late Carroll Shelby, to produce some of the fastest emblems of Americana like Shelby’s famed Daytona Cobra Coupe, a signature racer that became the first American car to win the FIA’s GT World Championship in 1965, as well as the 1963 Corvette Stingray with a sketch that inspired a new direction for Chevrolet’s sports car in the ‘60s.

Brock’s other endeavors include Brock Racing Enterprises (BRE), where he spearheaded race car projects in the ‘60s and ‘70s for Toyota and Datsun. Under the BRE brand, Brock also competed in the Baja 1000 during its early years and now, the company specializes in the preservation of Brock’s legacy, as well as consulting on new design projects. The new BRE website celebrates the history of the famous racing car architect and enthusiast with an archive of photos and articles, as well as memorabilia and collectibles.

Known as Southern Nevada’s largest car show, Super Run celebrates its 13th anniversary this year. The automotive tribute features over 1,000 hot rods, vintage vehicles and muscle cars, as well as popular contests, including burnouts and roaring engines. This year’s entertainment stars country music artist Jerrod Niemann, performing his platinum-selling #1 hit, “Lover, Lover,” amongst others and Route 66 – The Musical, featuring hit songs from the ‘50s and ‘60s. Admission for spectators is complimentary.
