1965 venom 427 replica
hi there ,
im about to buy a cobra kit car , i have been told the car was built by superformance south africa. but the seller has no paperwork from superformance and all i could find was a tag under the hood which said performance cars , a vin number and , Venom 427 cobra so now im totally confused , is performance and superformace 2 diffrent companies and if so , does anyone has a contact number for performance ? please help me , so i can get that figured out , my email is never_summer73@yahoo.com thanks a lot |

There was NEW Venom roadster on eBay years ago advertized as new. It had been on fire!
I think it was a stroker 331 or 342 stroker in a black car. I was ready to buy it until I found out about fire. The company is out of business now. Venom and Backdraft were both based in South Africa, 92' wheelbase and BMW suspension. Maybe this will help. Russell |
Venom was a knockoff of the early Backdraft cars with some subtle differences. The company folded in 2003 or so. There's a number of updates those cars need from a safety standpoint, but things are generally interchangeable.

I did not know the two cars were that similar. Still glad I have my Backdraft!
