Got To See A Scarab Replica Today
Hey all,
A friend from my days with the Porsche Club took me to another friends garage today and showed me a Scarab replica he is storing for the owner. I shot a couple pics and thought I'd share them. The car is beautiful and these pics don't do it justice. The aluminum body is perfect! Sorry no engine pics but the garage owner wasn't there and I didn't want to raise the hood w/o him being present. Maybe another time. Original Scarabs were the creation of Lance Reventlow. I've seen one of the originals and now this replica! The car has ghost stripes in the original layout. They don't show very well in the last photo but if you look close, you can see them.

Gorgeous car, Larry, but sad to see it just sitting there, not being driven and enjoyed.

I guess the owner takes it out and drives it when he's in town. So it does get aired out a little.

Hmmmmm,looks like a squashed down Cobra, aerodynamic front end, a proper racing windscreen, and a CHEBBY!!!!!!!!!!
