great story, I am a bit surprised by the statement on pg.4 " it had the big 427-inch turbocharged engine"
I would have thought Steve would have known the difference of a turbocharged- versus normally aspirated engine... Love the movie "Le Mans" |

I believe he meant "Turbo-Jet", that's what the decal says on the air cleaner of the Corvette.

Steve says it like it is,these Cobra's are raw powerful machines with not the best seating or control placement but what a pure thrill to drive.Funny thing is when competing all this seems to mean very little the focus then goes to staying on the track or road and getting ahead.
