Stainless Steel Spinner Finish

While inproving the front and rear brakes I could give the SS Spinners a better look.
Hand matt polished. Now they really look like "Vintage" Rico |

They look great, I've got polished stainless spinners as well and what to get the matt look. I reackon they look much better! Are they hard to keep clean and how did you do it?

It`s an easy work. Time to spend for the 4 Spinners takes a little more than 1hour (depends on the BEER tins;). Abrasive is like a fibre carpet. I use it to work and clean wood, metal and tiles. The surface of the treated part gets very smooth and without loss of material. The fotos show the easy procedure. Don`t give to much pressure to the Abrasive. Compare the SS versus ALU Spinner (from TRIGO).The difference is only the colour of the materials. Easy to keep them clean. Only a bit of Anti Rost Spray, a towel and it is done. Rico |
I prefer the un-polished look, too. However, years ago I was into the high level of "bling" factor and spent many hours polishing my SS knock-offs.**)
Last year I decided to go with the natural look. I had access to a friend's blasting machine and used glass beads to eliminate the bling. The glass beading takes about 30 seconds per knock-off.:) David |

Due to the rainy Sunday I got time to try to start the "matt polish treatment" at the FIA wheels. I`m pleased with the result, much nicer than before:).

Personnally, I like what Shelby went to in the 1967 GT program (Mark IIB and Mark IV), of RED (LEFT), BLUE (RIGHT) anodized spinners, so on pit stops there was never cross threading problems on tire changes.
